Join this course to understand what it means to answer the call into deathwork.

Before you can begin to learn the tools of death midwifery, we first examine what end-of-life care in N. America is currently like, who is currently being served well and under-served by the current care model, and how deathwalkers bridge these gaps in care.  We then turn our attention to building a trusting relationship with death.

This course includes:

• Over 2 hours of recorded & written content broken down into understandable units,
• Custom self-study pages (5), 1 per module, to give you the resources that will flesh out Jade's curriculum, including TedTalks, articles, documentaries, songs, and book recommendations, and
• Practical exercises that accompany each module so you can continue to deepen these skills hands-on.

This is the first unit of the Farewell Education Deathwalker Apprenticeship. Upon completion of this course, you will have begun deepening your relationship with death by building an altar, comprehensively explored the landscape of death care today, and begun to build your education in the ways that deathwalkers will be of service as they offer death midwifery skills as doulas and midwives.
