Coming Home to Yourself & Spring Updates
Coming Home to Yourself — June 1 at YogaSoul

On June 1, we’ll gather in Nashville for Death Doula Dialogues: Coming Home to Yourself, a workshop led by Amy Barnes and hosted by Death Doula Dialogues.
This offering came from a recent experience that left me off-center: sitting vigil with my client Roxane through her final days. The emotions were so intense, I forgot that my own life was still moving without me in it.
This workshop is a chance to re-anchor.
To return to yourself with sacred tools.
To explore the rituals and rhythms that help you come home.
Especially for death doulas, end of life care providers, and hospice workers: this event offers personalized practices to support you in carrying the emotional weight of this work with clarity and care.
Farewell Apprentices, use code FAREWELL for reduced tickets ($15).

What’s in My Death Midwifery Bag?

This reel has been getting a mix of sweet messages and spicy comments — a peek into what I carry into death spaces and why. Every item has a purpose, a story, a memory....and was used in Roxane's vigil.
Framework Group Plunge — A Monthly Ritual?

Last week, we gathered at Framework for a ritual of release — sauna, cold plunge, and soft silence. It was planned for a couple weeks but happened to come literally the hour after Roxane's body was collected by the crematory. I left the client's home and went into the community of apprentices who shared the experience of serving this family. Together, we processed, vented, cried, laughed, and began the work of moving through the grief that is inherent in this service.
Each round, we released something different: self-judgment, regret, sorrow.
Then we plunged into cold stillness and emerged softer.
The owner of Framework was so impressed by our community and the work we're doing that he's offered to host us at the discounted rate each month through the summer. If you'd like to join us, send me an email with dates and time preferences and let's continue this magic.
Roxane's Successful Ascension

Roxane died this week after a 5 day vigil and was honored in a home ceremony after her "ascension". Her death was radiant — full of intention, music, love, and presence. She was wild and intuitive, deeply embodied, and utterly unforgettable.
I’ll be sharing more soon. For now, I’m simply holding her close and bowing to the lessons she offered.
Thank You for Being Part of This Work
There’s so much blooming right now — in life, in grief, in learning. Thank you for walking with me.
With love and presence,
Jade
